Facility

Articulate Equestrian is thrilled to offer limited boarding opportunities at Forty-Two Farm, a private farm in Blacksburg, SC. While the facility is not open to the public without appointment, boarders may visit their horses at any time.

We believe horses are creatures first, partners second, and competitors third. Horses enjoy group turnout 24/7 weather permitting, or spend inclement days in personal spaces with shelter and hay.

Amenities

  • Ample turnout on a track system over multiple surfaces to promote movement and build strong hooves; field access rotation ensures forage availability, all with shade or shelter for extreme weather

  • Spacious run-in stalls with personal paddock attached are used for daytime turn in, picked multiple times daily, all with hay nets and water available

  • Balanced feed program specific to each horse’s health, age, and workload, monitored throughout the year, reviewed by a nutrition specialist

  • Quality hay fed out in weighted slow-feed nets, based on feed programme, and and hay huts for access on the turnout track

  • Large outdoor arena (70 x 130) with jumps, with a construction timeline to adding a covered for all-weather riding

  • Round pen (48’) for ground work and liberty training

  • Cross Country obstacles around property, with jump expansion ongoing

  • Heated tack room and bathroom for the humans, with a barn tack room expected 2026

  • Personalized training based on biomechanics and classical Dressage fundamentals for both horse and rider, with access to top-level coaching

  • Expert care from dedicated horse professionals

  • Owner on-site for 24-hour monitoring and medical

  • Trailer parking available

On Farm Services

Initial Training Requirement: All new boarders must enter a Partial Training Programme (3 sessions/week) for their initial month on site to ensure safety and integration into the farm's routine and community.

    • Nutritionalist reviewed diet with mineral balancer provided across 2 feedings daily, along with any supplements as provided by owner

    • Timothy / Orchard / Alfalfa and locally-grown Fescue/Orchard hay as part of dedication nutrition programme

    • Group turnout on interconnected, constantly-evolving track system designed to promote movement and encourage strong hoof growth

    • Rotated pastures connected into track system for moderated grass access

    • Seasonal blanketing andfly spray application

    • Regular vaccination schedule, coggins schedule, and deworming schedule

    • Seasonal fly predator use

    • Access to farm arena, round pen, trails

    • Individual turnout available - horses wearing metal rear shoes must be turned out individually

    • On-farm barefoot hoofcare is available as part of the monthly barefoot maintenance service. Outside hoofcare providers are permitted, but must be approved by Articulate Equestrian prior to their visit

    • Boarders have 24/7 access to their horse; any visitors or practitioners must coordinate their visits thru the boarder and respect farm quiet hours (4 PM - 9AM)

    • Full Training: Full board + 5 sessions per week

    • Partial Training: Full board + 3 sessions per week

    • Young Horse Starting / Restarting: Full board + 3 sessions per week with a focus on starting a horse under saddle - 90 day commitment required

  • Full board in addition to dedicated rehab care. Customize a programme to your horse’s needs, including medical, red light therapy, massage, osteopathy, hand walking, tack walking/strengthening, etc.

  • Horses barefoot on the farm’s monthly programme have hooves touched up as needed throughout the month, providing a more natural rebalance more frequently through the month
